4-bolt rear alternative

I have a 3 bolt rear and since my car is down I wanted to switch it to a 4-bolt rear. I've been looking for a 4 bolt for a while now but shipping cost a fortune when you live in Hawaii. Is there a alternative to a 4bolt rear by strenghtening my existing 3-bolt. Please let me know.

I had the same dilemea when my 3-bolt went. Unfortuantely the weakest point of the 3-bolt is the diameter of the axle shaft/spline. There are no aftermarket "strengthened" axles for the 3-bolt. I suppose you could send the axles to be cryoed.. but would prol be more hassle/cost than help.

FYI.. USPS will ship a 50lb oversized package to HI for ~$40. Add COD and insurance and you're looking at ~$50.

wow, thats a great shipping price. Thanks for the info. My car doesn't even run yet and im already worried. Too bad I don't have the money for it now. I guess I should hold off and maybe get my car running first. Not many DSMs parting out around here. Thanks again

Put that 4 bolt rear in that box with you and you can stay at my place for free.
There's nothing fun to do here anyways. Just a lot of nice scenery.
