I probably know the answer. But just want to confirm with everybody.
But I am having issues of my 3rd gear popping out it seems that 10-15% of the time I upshift to 3rd it will pop out and most of the time it will stay in but downshifting from 4th to 3rd it pops and grinds 90% of the time.
To me that is kind of odd. Is it time for a rebuild? My guess yes since I have had the car for 10 years and been going to the track for 7 years.
Just wanted to get your guys opinion either being the shift fork, synchros, etc.
Thanks
Matt

Confirm i can tell you on my car it was simple the gear was in bad shape after it was inspected, not the cables but internal.

Probably time for a rebuild, but what tranny fluid are you using? When was the last flush? I had a similar problem and switched to Redline and it helped a lot. Might want to give it a try before tearing things apart.

I am using redline MT-90 for awhile and recently changed it about a month ago when I was having clutch pedal probs.

Haha Thanks Tim for the confirmation
Now just deciding if get a used one and save up for a rebuild trans, or even try my luck with a used built trans.
