Trans popping out of gear

Driving the car from work, got on my street put it in second and popped out. Put it in first and it popped. The car was shifting fine on the way home and never had this problem before. It won't go into gear now. Any ideas?

do what?! i'm sure there is a better explanation out there for why his transmission is popping out of gear than "you need to sell it"

Is there alot of play on the shifter? Check your shifter cables? When mine went out it would pop out of gear in almost every gear.

sounds like you broke the 1-2 shift fork inside the trans. can you use any other gears? try to put it in gear with the engine not running then start it up and see if it'll move then.

Linkage bolts wiggled loose. Thanks
