Hello fellow DSMer's. I have a project on my hands. I bought a 6 bolt 4g63 for my GSX. I was told it has a collapsed lifter. Well I always heard about people using them so I did a little research. I am in the understanding that the 3g 4g64 lifters are not what I need. I found out I need Topline's part number LIFMI6. Is this true? Also I understand I have to take of the cams to get to them is this a common sense installation to the amateur mechanic? or is there a specific directions? Or maybe a video link or instructions with pics for this job. Thank you god bless. Honda's beware haha

You do not need to remove the cams from the head to replace lifters. All you need is a large flat head screw driver, and a dead weight hammer (to help get them back into place.

Pop the rockers off and r&R the lifter.

"3g" in no way refers to a "3rd generation Eclipse"...It's just some stupid name that was associated with them. Many prefer the term "revised" lifters since the oiling hole that meets the rocker is larger than the stock hydraulic lifter. I recommend ITM lifters... they're cheaper and are readily available on ebay for about $80 shipped.

Revised lifters, updated lifters, some use 3g lifters i just got the ones from vendors here, worked just fine. for a few years now.
