hello i planned on buying the 3g lifters, what all do i need to order with the to work, i also planned on ordering some aftermarket cams like the 264/272 or 272/272.will the 3g lifters work well with the cams.

For a 2g you don't actually buy 3G lifters you get the revised lifters that are "3g" that have a bigger hole for the oil to go through so you don't get the lifter tick.

yea it a 2g talon, where the best place to get the revised lifters, and do i need to order other parts for them to work.

only thing you need are the lifters - direct replacement.
DSM GRAVE YARD has them for $90.
One of the best things you can do for your engine, completely eliminates false knocking from clacking lifters.

You need a screwdriver and this link:

As for cams, that depends on the turbo. I wouldn't install 272 cams with a stock or smaller sized turbo, you won't gain much but could lose low end torque.

Modern Automotive Performance or any other Vendor besides DSM Graveyard. I just wasted 2 months and 6 days waiting for simple #### from them. Order came out split all over the map communication blew and they didn't have numerous parts they originally took my money for. Oh its in the mail, oh we called them it should be on the way etc if you want cams call Delta directly etc etc. Frustrated is being polite!,,

I have used dsm graveyard with no problems. But I will also second MA Performance, Or Street tuned motorsports, I have used them both and have gotten good service. STM oil filter housing gaskets are better than OEM from the dealer - and cheaper.

Ok thanks for the input I'll check them out, as far as the 272 cams I have as far as mod wise,I'm running 3in exhaust from turbo back with high flow cat an the 14b turbo.and 1g cams.

Depending on what 272 cams you choose, you may need a spring upgrade.

If you stay with the smaller272, like the BC, FP/Comp, HKS, they can run on stock springs, but I would bet your stock springs are wore out, so some new springs like the BC1100 w/ stock retainers would be a good addition to the cams.

If you look at the Kelfords, FP3, you will have to step up to some good behives, like the GSC 5041, Kiggley, Beemads

I was told about the ffwd cams, have any of yall ran those cams and with those should I do the spring kit

It depends on which cams, I assume you mean the "DKS" cams which are basically HKS knock-offs. If that's the case, they are still considered a more mild 272. So a spring kit is optional, but still highly suggested.

^^^^ This

Just installed a set of the DKS 272 in a 2g head with BC1100 springs and stock retainers.

Most all stock valve springs are wore out by now, over 130k or so miles.

yea sorry about that it is the DKS cams, they seem to be nice cams for the price. I'm looking to get some more performance parts, after first of the year.

I got 137,000 miles on so, if i get cams I would get the spring kit too
