The shop working on my car keeps telling me that the 3g lifters wont work on my eclipse that I need the 2g lifters

here are the part numbers hes giving me
2G MD377054 in my car
3G MD377560 wont work because they are an inch to small

Im thinking that 3g lifters that hes talking about are to the 3rd gen Eclipse 2000+ years and not my 2g 95-99 eclipse, can someone confirm this for me?

I know that the 95-99 3G lifters are revised version of the old OEM lifters already in my car

3g lifters doesnt mean out of 3rd generation eclipses man.. (correct me if im wrong)

But im pretty sure "3g" is the "3rd Generation lifter/ REVISED LIFTER" haha..
Your Mechanic/You prob thinks your talking about putting 3rd gen eclipse lifters in your 2g eclipse..

Like the post above me..
EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Topline Revised Lifters : Mitsubishi Eclipse 90-99

And BTW... you can save alot of money if you put them in yourself.. They make a tool to help put the lifters in without removing the cams/cam caps/cam gears.. Just saying. Good luck
