350 hp build by slowboy racing??

does anybody know if its slowboy racing thats doing a 1g 350 hp build? i forgot who it was.a friend told me about it, but i dont remember.

I wouldn't exactly call making 350whp a "build" seeing as pretty much any DSM has this potential with a stock engine, a little more boost, and a good tune; although if Huml believes there is a market I'm sure he will pursue it.

Thanks for the bump, the 350-450 WHP market is where 90% of our customers are, so there certainly is a market for this build up!

20 year old cars don't have much potential left in the stock engine in my opinion, unless they were very well cared for.

The key is not the power output, we proved five years ago making 1000 HP is easily attainable, the key is making big power under the curve. I will take a well prepared 350 HP DSM/ EVO with peak TQ at 3500 rpm's against a 500 HP DSM/ EVO that makes peak TQ at 5000 rpm's any day of the week on a short road course.

I would also take said car for a road car vs the latter as well, any day of the week. The idea is to make a fun car to drive on a budget and make it last.

as long as they weren't completely trashed, I believe most DSM's have 350whp potential on the stock motors.

I can't even begin to count the number of DSM's I've seen just locally obtained stock/near stock with the original motor and make 300-400whp after mods without a rebuild

The point is a 20 year old motor in the hands of a typical DSM owner will be or has been rebuilt whether its with 1G stock big rods and 2g pistons or better parts.

I have seen one unmolested, completely stock 6 bolt in the past two years that was making over 300 WHP and I see my share of DSM's!

I also have a friend making 500 WHP on a "stock block" - at least that's his story... hehe
