Got my 3" Megan downpipe bal from the machine shop(o2 bung welded on) and went to install it. However, I had to cut slits in the holes that bolt up to the o2 housing. Even after cutting the slots to get me
Some adjusting room the pipe still doesn't not sit flush or even. I can not twist the pipe into position(hope to have a picture to better explain). I'm just wondering anyone has run into the same or similar issues with this down pipe and if so what did you do to fix it because the flex pipe is already rubbing on my transfer case and won't allow me to twist it further to seat properly.

I can tell you why it's not working with no pictures. You have an evo 3 o2 housing. That o2 housing is cocked a bit.You would have saved a few bux and still had nice flow going with a 2g ported o2 housing.

LOL - I am so immature!

To the OP, you have a few options, either swap back to your factory o2 housing, buy an aftermarket (tubular housing), or buy a downpipe flanged for the evo o2. RRE sells one, but its more expensive then that MR one you have!

Well lets see if this works. Just bought the megan SS o2 housing. Sure hope the weld dont break on this like most SS manifolds do! also picked up a test pipe because the aftermarket high flow cat has seen it's better days.

The megan o2 housing is actually kinda pricey, but if you already ordered it.Just go ahead and use it.

I'm still using a ported 1g o2.Works fine for right now.I should have got a 2g when I got a new manifold.

The MR's are 100.00. Cheap, but cheap part as well. Not even worth the 100.00 I paid for it. Take it to a Exhaust shop and have the DP modded to fit.
