heard from a local machanic that a 3" downpipe will cause some boost lag.
its making sense, but how much lag are we talking about on our stock t25 w/ported evo iii o2housing?
should i get s 3" dp or 2.5". on the 2.5" i will become 3" after the flex.

help me out :dsm:

Theres no way a better flowing downpipe will give you more turbo lag. You should spool faster. Boost lag LOL, never heard that phrase. I think maybe he was talking about boost CREEP which is a different thing entirely.

uh there is such thing as turbo lag, if you had a non ball bearing 50 trim you would know what lag is.

but he is right about the spool up, get the 3 inch it will make it spool up probly 200 rpms faster(on a t-25, if you had a big turbo it would help even more)

go 3 inch for sure, in fact i say get a tubular 3 inch o2 housing too, thats what i have and my 16g spools up as fast as my t-25 did on a stock exhaust.

okay, thanks ill be going evo iii o2housing (ported) w/ 3"dp and test pipe w/catshell welded on - mid next week ill post up my performance increase. currently running 3" catback, so complete 3"system :D however, im gonna hate that cel light :thumbdown
