hey, I'm new but read up a lot on dsmtuners. I'm looking at this white 91 talon awd, with a new motor with 26k miles, kenetic headgasket ( never heard of it), arp head studs, new front struts, battery, alternator, belts. Only problem he said is that 2nd gear doesn't go in all the way sometimes. It'll pretend to go in but when clutch is let out it'll grind, he said he put a new oem clutch, but problem persist. Coming from Honda's (I know
) it seems like a bent shift fork or maybe shift linkage problem. I had that problem in my Si and it was just bad shifter bushings. Anyway he is willing to sell for $3800 as is, and a couple of more ($4300 or so, not sure) fixed? Is rebuilding a tranny worth it, or should I let him fix it? Is this problem normal on 1gens?
Also he has mods not installed, including Turboback, boost gauge, MBC and blowoff valve that he'll include in purchase.
thanks

, thanks for the info, I won't slam. Now time to conteplate if I should go ahead and rebuild it by shep, or look for another one. Would it be better to let him fix it with oem parts?
