2G 2nd gear issues

First my talon is a automatic. I was on my way home from work went around a corner my car shifted hard and then it won't shift passed 2nd gear anymore. I was wondering if anyone knows were I should start to start problem solving. Is it a pressure switch or a valve issue? Now that the car is parked, trying to find park or netrual or reverse with the shifter it seems to be off by a shift, if that makes sense. Hope someone can help

I would start off by checking your range sensor and make sure the nut is not loose.
