hi all, i have a 95 eclipse gs. 2.0l non turbo automatic. the speedometer is going over to 120 when you turn the key on and them just to random places all over the place when driving. i have been researching and everyone says to check the speed sensor on the trans by the shift linkage. for some reason i cant find one on this trans anywhere. i have 3 sensors on the front side down at the bottom behind the breather. and the tcm which is also by the breather. i even took the battery and battery supports out so i could see in there better and there just isnt one. any help would be great.. is it possible that this is not the origianl trans.

I wouldn’t expect much to change between a 1995 and a 1997 in this particular aspect, but the 1997 diagram shows that the speedometer of an automatic 420A gets its signal from the EATX-ECM, via the input speed or output speed sensor.
