I've only done one clutch before and it was on a Honda. The instructions I'm finding for replacing the clutch on this care are alittle confusing. I found alot on awd set ups but not front wheel drive only. Could anyone give me a quick guide to doing the clutch on the GS 2.0l N/T front wheel drive. Id appreciate it.

It will be the same basic ideas. If you did a Hondas you have done your DSMs.

Remove the starter, axles, all the wiring shit, the shifter cables, the slave cylinder and lines. And then remove the bolts holding the trans to the engine. Drop the bi*** out and replace the clutch, then throw it all back together.

The clutch is a modular clutch, so it and the flywheel are one piece.

So wait how does that work? Do I have to replace the flywheel to or what?

Don't make it sound harder then it is. If you did a honda you can do the eclipse. The only difference is the starter and shifter cables. I did mine all by myself and it was interesting experience but it wasn't fun trying to get the tranny to line up by myself LOL.
Have fun and good luck.

edit:
Basic ideas of a honda. You can just do the pressure plate, or you can just do the flywheel or you can just do the disc or you can do all three.
But if the flywheel is still okay just resurface it.

Incase someone read what this post used to say i figured the clutch thing out.

Thanks for the help guys.

How do I get this damn tie rod off without the special ####ing tool? I never had this problem with my trucks.

Just recently did a Honda Civic and our 96 Eclipse.

The Honda wanted the tie rod ends removed, used a pickle fork tool
but next time will rent a clamp style popper.

But the Eclipse did not require tie rod ends to be removed.
We simply removed the whole lower control arm - unbolting it from the frame.
19mm bolts I believe, if not then 17.
