i dont know about n/t setups but with 4g63s i have always read about o2 simulators when any o2 sensor are removed. i just did a 3inch exhaust with out o2 and im still running cel. I just clear it out every day with a engine check tool. but i know there is a way to get it gone. have u searched this?

overboosted 1g, yes that will keep the light from annoying you or seeing a cel light up for sure. In fact, I had a bad coolant sensor and removed the light. :thumb: However, for a cel if you wish to pass an inspecion, the car will be scanned and they will discover the issue and fail the car. :nono: IMHO, if you want to do this the right way, there isn't an easy way. You'll need a tuning device to get around this. Hope this answers the question.

There have been talks about putting a resistor and bridging the two pins with it. Some have done it with no problems but eventually the computer figures it out and you get a cel. Nothing is going to be completely permanent unless you get a tuning device.

I read somewhere you could block off the EGR without the CEL coming on as long as you had the sensor still plugged in to the harness. I will try and hunt down that link.

I run my car with the EGR blocked off, and the sensor still installed. I get a check engine light about once every 2 weeks from it. I just reset the error code. But I live in michigan so I don't have emition regulators to deal with :D

I also just got ecmlink, so now I don't have to do it even every 2 weeks.

Anyway, keep the sensor plugged in and you should be fine!

Good Luck!
