General 2Gb CAS Sensor

Okay I just rebuild my motor recently and I was just wondering if anyone out there would be able to help me out with something? Is it possible to put in your CAS sensor in wrong? I am not talking about the sensor its self I am talking about the part inside the sensor can you bolt that on to the cam wrong?

Would there be any difference in the way my car runs if I put it in 180 out?

Right now I am getting some really weird knock signals and it doesn't wanna run clean at part throttle! Any thoughts would be very helpful! OH and its a 97 GST

Yes, if you install the CAS 180* out it will run like crap. Put your motor at #1 TDC and line up the notch on the CAS to make sure it is right.

So could that be where i am getting my knock from and why i bog down at half throttle! and are the marks on the 97+ CAS the same as the early 90 ones because mine doesnt look like the one in the link!!!

The sensor is different, but it should still have some kind of marks indicating how it should go in.

Yes, that would cause poor performance.

okay i will check it i just hope that is what is causeing my problems!!! If that is okay than do you have any other ideas on what my problem could be????
