hi i was just wandering what are everyone else 1/4 mile times with the 14b since i recently install one on my 2g talon tsi fwd automatic and i haven't gotten a chance to take it to the track. Here we go this is what i have for now. Also post you 1/4 times 60's and mods so i can get a basic idea of how fast i can make my car run with these turbo. And if you have dyno's post them i'm interested on horsepower too.

14b@14psi
2.5" downpipe
2.5" exhaust
lower intercooler pipe
j pipe
blitz bov
(i'm looking for a fuel pump asap)

Coming Soon.....
kyb shocks
lowering springs
auto trans shift kit
end clutch
:talon:

Hmm... suggest going thru the 1/4 mile times and checking out there. Start around the mid 15's and work your way down.

Beyond that, not to pick apart your choices in mods, but I suggest investing in a UICP, the stock one is much more restrictive than the lower.

Its awd and manual though. So you have to take that into effect. I got a lot more mods since then I don't know how I will do?

Nice time. :thumb:

But, obviously, AWD and manual are two huge factors when compared to an auto fwd. Not too mention you're boosting at 4 more psi. I'd say that there's really no comparison there...

I hate autos and being an AWD at that! Thats why mine will become RWD next year! Well maybe a little sooner!

where abouts in OK ... i live in north texas ... about 50 miles from lawton. about 20 miles from randelette

this will be the worst mod ever.

I am going to the track 3 different times in August, and hope to break 12's on pump. I can run 20psi on pump with no know as of yet and agressive timing and fuel settings because of my FMIC. I can't wait to go. Has anyone run 12's in a practically full weight 2g on pump gas with the 14b? I really think that I can pull it off, but we will have to wait and see.

13.1 @105 with a 1.78 60 foot. This is in a full weight 2g, spare tire and tools in the car. " You gotta have tools" but the car was getting around 4 deg of timing pulled due to 100deg intake temps and 210 coolant temps. Hopefully this weekend will be the 12.999999 or better. And nothing at all is ported or clipped or any thing crazy like that :thumb:
Oh yea PUMP gas 18psi ;)

13.6 @ 98.1. Full weight plus spare and speaker box at 96 degrees at LVD in New York.

Engine is out of the car waiting for a whole mess of goodies to go in, including a crazy port 2G head with 1G intake mani, Ross's & Eagles. Should be a good way to break into the 12's. I want to wring every last drop out of the 14b before I go bigger.

Matt.

13.1 @ 103. If you guys want to see my car in action. Rent the DVD movie call Street Fury Inferno. The movie has me racing at the California Fontana Speedway against a fully slicked up Lighting Truck.

If I could ever make it to the track, I'd post some times.

But, I should be getting a clutch soon, and I'm shooting for 12's on pump.

i will let you know next week when i go to moroso motorsports park

i will be running 20 psi on my 14b. :dsm:

Mod who said anything about mods thats just for SNG. Have you tried it? How do you know it would be a bad mod. Not everybody is into beating the QM record. Some of us DSM guys enjoy driving our DSM's. Some of us enjoy Autocross. Its all on prefernce. Its just another car that I can play with so I figured why not. Oh and doesnt someone run a RWD that holds a record for DSM?
