what are some of the best 14b pump gas passes that some of you have? i was wondering becuase i am planning on going to the track soon and was wondering what i could expect. i would like to run race gas, but i am not sure if i will just yet. also, what kind of boost were you guys running? fuel pressure? and timing? if you have that info.
thanks in advance
ps. it is not on my mod list but i will be running a cut out right at the bend of my downpipe, so basically open o2 housing, if any of you have done this please tell us about your experience.

I took my full weight 99 GSX automatic to a best of 13.345 at 102mph with my 14b at 17psi on the stock sidemount and 93 octaine gas. I think with the addition of a FMIC I could have hit high 12's on pump. My 60ft's were mostly 1.8's. I hit a few 1.7's too.

I had a 1.71 sec 60 ft w/ a trap of 99. Only ran a 14.3 due to charge piping blowing apart at the top of 3rd gear consistently every run  Shouldda been in the 12's

about 18-19 psi. 13.19 at 100 mph. 93 octane, stock ic.

13.765 @ 95 w/ 8.716 1/8th and a 1.80 60'- 18 pounds, 14B w/ stock SMIC

Trap speed was so low because I was overflowing the stock FPR, but I got that fixed now and it pulls hard up top without all that popping nonsense. I should be mid to low 13's now.

i ran a 13.3 with a 1.81 60' with only stock mani/turbo/02, 3'' exhaust, 550cc, 255lph, Safc2, upic pipe, act fw, 3500 sb clutch. And lots of knock and i mean 42 at the end of third  . But now i have a ported b16g that i got for 275 :shhh: and a WAY better tune and im picking up a fpr later on in the week, Im hoping to hit a mid 12 next time to the track. :dsm:

12.86 @ 107.34 on pump. With water injection I could run 22-24 psi without knock. Just had to take out some timing via emanage.

This was with a crappy shifting trans also.

On a mix of 110 octane and 93, trapped 110.78.

Wish I still had that turbo with this tranny.

BTW, I still have the stock IC and stock piping, hehe.

You can also easily click on the 1/4 mile times link at the top of this page and view the times and what turbos and type of gas the people were running them on. You can also look at each vehciles profile to see their mods.

On pump my 3400# car (w/me in it) was running 13.65 on the 14B with limited mods.
Using a HP Calculator you can have fun entering car Weight and HP level to estimate your times.

It will likely give you pretty bad creep issues unless you've properly ported your wastegate passage. I suggest starting on a lower boost level to see how much of an impact it has.

I'd also highly recommend a datalogger of some sort to read knock/timing :dsm:

wait a second, somebody really ran 10's with the 14b? ya i know it might creep because nothing is ported, but how bad? i mean it cant be all that bad if i am already running like 19psi, right? and i also have a datalogger.

thanks for the link, i remember there last best time was 11.2, i did not know that they had broken that record and reposted, that is insane. so do you guys think i will boost creep more then my preset 19psi?
thanks

my 14b creeped TO 19psi at 6000rpm but i tuned it so the car wouldnt mind TOO much :p Why dont you pull it out of the car the next time you need to do an oil change and port that bi*** out since you sound like your gonna want to keep it on the car for a while.

A couple weeks ago, I ran a new best time on pump gas on my 14b. I went 12.25 @ 110.7. Not sure if this is a 14b pump gas record, though...
Stop it.. you're going to put the aftermarket turbo vendors out of business (and me into a deeper depression) :p

Seriously though, thems great times on pump :thumb:
