2g wiring harness/ecu question.

I traded my 1g Eclipse (the one in the avatar) for a 2g Eclipse shell that's a 95 automatic. I hate auto's and have a 95 manual car that got wrecked that I'm gonna pull the manual tranny into the 2g auto. The concern I have is the ecu and the wiring harness. Are they both the same? Or will I need to be swapping ecu's and also look for a manual wiring harness? Thanks.

my buddie ronnie swapped a 96 tsi awd over, full conversion of a 7 bolt awd auto car, to a 6 bolt 5 speed car. if i recall correctly it needed:

2g awd trans
2g 5 speed transfer case
2g 5 speed rear end and driveshaft
2g 5 speed pedal assembly
2g clutch master + slave cylinder
5 speed wiring harness
5 speed ecu

im not sure if youre doing a fwd or awd project, but if youre going AWD, that should be everything you need right there. you should also do a 6 bolt swap as well if youre going to convert transmissions. if the car is worth a 5 speed, its gonna be worth the 6 bolt too. good luck man!

Both cars are awd. Just that one is auto and the other is a 5 speed.
