2g Turbo or Non Turbo

I just recently bought a used motor off dsmtrader for 1200 bucks for my 2g gst because a rod went through the side of my block but anyways long story, my question is if there is a way i can tell if its a turbo motor they both look the same but since im swapping all my sensors over to the other motor my cam sensor i think thats what it is i have one on my motor but not the other it has a rubber plug in it so i took the plug out and it doesnt have a spot for the sensor to screw into so it can spin and the sensor can read it. help

It will say 4g63 on the back if it is the 2g turbo model, but the turbo and N/T motors look completely different.

You probably bought a 95/96 turbo motor. The 95/96s had their cam angle sensor behind the intake cam gear, whereas yours is on the other side of the intake cam.

A 2G turbo engine will look like a 1g turbo engine, and have the spark plugs right in the middle of the valve cover, a 4G63. A non turbo 2G engine will look alot different and the valve cover will look very odd, a 420-A engine.
