you mean, like a spare tire?
Yeah, something like that.... Or a toolbox for when you break down on the side of the road. But we all know that RARELY happens to us.... ;)

oh man...my spyder trunk is filled with a coolant bottle and a toolbox. That took up half the floor space :coy:

Yeah, the spare tire it what supports the floor. Without the spare tire in place, the floor will collapse when weight it applied to it. That carboard floor is not very strong anyways. I ended up tearing mine a while back, so a made a new one.

I used to thin plywood and traced the stock floor onto it. Once I got it cutout and in the car, I made a small, wooden support to hold it up in the center (my spare tire is also removed). Then I carpeted it black. Looks very nice and clean and it definitely supports much more weight that before. :thumb:

nice man! got any pics of it?

my fake floor board broke also.. i had my sub/box/amp on it.. and the hinge just broke..

also I don't think anyone mentioned it, but besides the spare tire.. on the GSX at least.. there are 2 plastic supports on each side of the spare tire well.. they're black and seem to just serve the purpose to support the edges of the floor bboard.. the left side has a little niche to put tools and such.. you might be missing that.
