I have a '91 Eagle TSI, personally I dont care for the hump in the hood, and I am turning my motor 90 degrees from where it sits right now. So the hump will actually have no purpose. So I think it would be a good time to put a better looking hood on my car.

And there is no flaming needed, I know all you hardcore DSM guys are probably ripping your hair out right now and want to criticise me about how the rear end wont handle all the horse power. Well thats all ok because its going to be getting a Ford 9" rear end and drag race style 4 link setup. So some help please, no flaming nessasary...

Thanks.

Depends on the year of your car. 1g's with the 1.8l engine had a flat hood. For a 2g you'd have to go after market with a vented hood.

Maybe if you filled out your vehicle information I could have just given the one answer (HINT HINT)

If you are going to criticize, read the post beforehand. He clearly stated at the beginning of his post that he has a 91 tsi.

The 90 model and some 91 1.8 equipped cars came with the flat hood. As for the aftermarket, I have yet to see a flat hood without some sort of vent.

your going to need to customize a hood anyway. The hood will need cut for clearance for the cam gears in the front
