I knew the owner of the revised 7 bolt and I knew that the motor was in good healthy condition. That and it is just easier, I already have 7 bolt parts readily available which will save me cost in the long run vs buying an entire new rotating assembly for the 6 bolt.

Had some very real attempts at selling the car but it wasnt in my favor. So the build continues on.

Picked up all this from the junkyard for quite a bargain:

And finally got at least one gauge mounted in the car

Dropped the block and head in(no pistons yet) just to get all of my fuel line ran and fitted

Got alot done yesterday, but not pics to show for it. I got my boost gauge finally wired up and installed, along with dying my headliner/sun visors black and installing them as well. I also managed so scoop up some cleaner center console parts, including a cup holder, and the inserts. The FuelLAB AFPR finally is installed aside from one 90 degree fitting, my original choice for placement got shot down due to space constraints. I would up shaving the brake reservoir bracket down and moving the fuel pressure solenoid over. I had to fab up(hammer and torch) my own mounting bracket, its ugly, but works.

Probably going to take advantage of the vendor sales and pick up a electronic torque wrench, FP race manifold, and possibly an FP black or a green in the next few weeks. My center vent gauge cluster is off being molded and finished up, so I hope to have ALL of my gauges wired in withing the next two weeks.

Got the VRSF mounted up(need to make a secure bracket on the bottom) and got most of the bumper trimmed to fit. Really wish the previous owners hadnt made cuts with tin snips

Headliner I got from the junkyard with visors. It was tan when I got it, decided to paint it black. Came out a charcoal grey, wound up matching the panels so I am happy.

Really hoping to have it all wrapped up by March but Xmas presents are putting a big hit on the budget.

Been a long winter and havent gotten to work on the talon at all, but have gotten alot of parts gathered up.

Finally Found a mint 2g steering wheel!

hx35 .55 housing, PR atmospheric o2 housing, FP intake with evo 8MAF and K&N Filter

And a FP manifold to go with it all of course!

I dont have a lot left, hoping to have the clutch ordered next week and finally start putting parts on when this cold weather breaks.

Went through my parts and found my original air bag! schaweet!!!
Just needs some armor all or a good scrub. Little dusty XD

And finally got a set of wheels....SHOGUNS!
Gotta have one of them repaired with a bit of curb rash. Gonna look brand new by the time they see the car!

Finally getting to be able to make progress!

Got the rear subframe pulled and working on trying to save the rear hubs :/ Not sure how to get those axles out since the nuts are welded on.

Few hours later:

Under body was surprisingly clean, minor rust on the seam sealer. Gonna sandblast my life away this week.

So glad these came right off, not even seized.

All in all I managed to break most of the control arm bolts as well as the toe adjuster bolts, yet the subframe bolts came right out XD. Figures that would be my luck.


Finally got some motor parts as well! Eagle and Ross it is! Gonna be built and boosted for shootout this year!

Finally making progress. Rear subframe is about ready to be thrown in after I get the new solid mount bushings installed. Then a few coats of enamel and clear coat and off to the rear brakes. In the home stretch at last!
