T,
When did you move to Florida!?

You can always cut the sheetmetal directly under where the filter sits and run a 90* PVC elbow down into the bumper. I did that with my old talon and it dropped the intake temps a good 15*, best of all I didn't have to mod anything except cut the sheetmetal and cost less than $15. Just keepa spare 8mm wrench with you for pulling the filter back up into the bay if it rains really bad.

I moved to Miami in January...been in the works for a lil while now.

Thanks for the suggestions, Andrew (super95awd) of http://www.frontlinefabrication.com/ has my headlight and will be doing this for me...ill post pics when I get it back!

EDIT: Andrew just posted pics of my headlight pretty much done...

Looking really good, just for others for future searches, someone started mentioning it, but I love what I did. And that is, I have a "short route" FMIC so the original "hole" the stock UICP goes through is now where my filter goes down through, and viola!!! Filter sits right where the side mount used to be............. and for bad weather........ my pipe is a 2 piece, dis-connect the second pipe and take the filter off and put it on the first pipe, GREATLY reduces AIT. Plus, I have 3" the whole way!

Looks great! Depending on the price, I want it done too!

Ok, spoke with Andrew and the price is $250...not cheap but unless you have the skill to do it yourself THIS CLEANLY, well worth it.

250 is a bit much for cutting a few holes and putting a piece of pipe in there. I can understand 250 for doing a HID retrofit but not for this.

Yeah, it's not cheap, you get what you pay for I guess.

But contact him and you can always work something out!

No thanks, I can do that myself with a dremel ;) To each their own though.

For that price did they supply the headlight also?

Just threw it on a few hours ago, haven't driven it yet but i will probably go for a drive tonight...

BTW, it's very easy to stick a rag to prevent things from getting in there...a black rag wouldn't even show...don't think they make black rags tho LOL.

Drove around for like 2 hours and the temps are great!!!!! Both intake and coolant temps stayed really cool....on average 84 degrees intake temp and 175 coolant and the outside temp is around 80.

the 84 intake temp., is that pre or post turbo? If post turbo, pre or post intercooler?

Yes, measured at the 2g mas and keep in mind the filter is not isolated from the engine bay yet, it will be even cooler once i build a box.

I just finished one for my car, but it only cost me 42 bucks and a trip to lowes.
I'll post some pictures here in a few. granted, it's not as clean as his...but i did mine for 208 bucks less.
