When did you move to Florida!?
You can always cut the sheetmetal directly under where the filter sits and run a 90* PVC elbow down into the bumper. I did that with my old talon and it dropped the intake temps a good 15*, best of all I didn't have to mod anything except cut the sheetmetal and cost less than $15. Just keepa spare 8mm wrench with you for pulling the filter back up into the bay if it rains really bad.
