I began doing a wire tuck and got everything hooked back up but am having problems getting the car to stay on. My question is if the power transistor (I think is what its called) has to be bolted to the IM. I also did an emissions delete and took my EGR off, I made a block off plate, but it's only on with one bolt until I get to the hardware store, but my car won't stay on! Could the EGR block off not being all the way on be my issue?

It is the EGR block off for sure. You need to seal that up tight with RTV also. My power transistor hasn't been bolted to anything in over a year it is zipped tied and hidden away car runs just fine.

Okay, I figured as much! Thank you! So one more question, does the mounting bracket need to be on the power transistor? I took it off and saw the metal back, so I put the bracket back on and tucked it away.

The power transistor is bolted to the bracket by two bolts. If you remove the bracket and bolt the power transistor directly to the intake manifold, that can help semi tuck it away, it's what I did, when I switched to a 6 bolt, due to not being able to use original mounting location.

I mounted my power transistor with bracket using the bottom left bolt (far passenger side) for the intake manifold. I don't know if there's clearance for this with a stock intake manifold as I had an aftermarket when I did this, but you can at least investigate. I believe I had to enlarge the hole in the power transistor bracket to clear the large bolt but it sits there nicely now.

The mounting bracket for the PT does provide an additional ground (a more heavy duty one than the wire ground in it's connector) but it also provides a necessary (or at least very desired) heat sink to engine. Granted it works w/o the bracket but not as well and is suseptable to overheating (causing PT burnup).

Quick on this, the bracket is the PTUs ground and heatsink that also needs thermal paste on the metal plate side of the PTU and bolt to bracket. If you don't do this in due time your car will run good until its warmed up and then it will misfire until it cools down.
