Resolved 2G No boost. Blown Turbo?

I lost all boost yesterday I was driving and did 80 and all of the sudden the boost gauge went to 0. You can hear the turbo spooling but it doesn't boost as if something was disconnected what can this be?

I had a similar problem. I traced all over my intercooler and couldn't find anything and my wastegate was not stuck and my flapper was fine .. somehow my stock hardpipe under the fusebox developed a hole and was causing me to build pressure on my gauge but not boost .. check there if you can't find anything else

So we checked the flapper and it was good also we fixed a couple leaks tried it out and still it wont build boost you accelerate and it only sputters really bad and feels like it has no power. Could it be a blown turbo?

Sounds like a weak spark or not enough fuel.

He has e3 plugs that are carbonised pretty bad.

like my buddy said we checked a lot, we took out the radiator and checked the flapper it did not seem to be stuck, i dont know what to do and as far as the plugs go its kind of weird because the plugs where not sooty black when the turbo was working, they were tan now they look really bad plus they are e3's. can this be a blown turbo??

So I pushed the little T25 the other day to full boost which my boost gauge showed 14 psi but it only lasted about 5 seconds and then it stopped making boost as if I had released the throttle. Now the Talon does not go past 30mph.

I checked the plugs and they were full of black soot all four of them, the car now sputters like crazy, bad idle below 500 rpm, sometimes it just stalls and dies. The turbo still spools but you can hear like there's a boost leak.

There is no smoke what can this be did I blow my turbo?

Check for a boost leak. Happened to me once and the upper intercooler pipe blew off the SMIC, couldn't see it though cause it was hidden by the fusebox and air box.

Start from the jpipe and work your way around. If you can't physically see it then use a BLT. This should be self explanatory. Sounds like I've got a leak what do I do? Find the leak!

happened to me too, +1....

Happened me just the other night. Almost got stranded cause all I had was a bloody screw driver in the car .^^^^ Find the leak.

Yup I've had this happen I'd just switched to t clamps and I was passing on the highway and car fell on its face. Popped the hood and an IC pipe had come apart. Luckily had a 6 inch crescent in the car. Fixed it and was boosting again!

When it happened to me I was on my stock SMIC, with my s16g and blow off the bottom SMIC coupler. It kept blowing off the same coupler, so I put three clams on it and now it's fine. good luck

Does the leak have anything to do with the plugs.

If the plugs are dirty you should replace them or clean them. But it sounds like a boost leak as stated above.

Sounds similar to the first problem I had with my last DSM. Ended up being bad compression. Just a thought. Good luck though.

Go for boost leak I would not think that you would lose compression due to 14psi where the stock internals hold massive amounts of boost as stated keep it simple find the leak use proper clamps

it could be a blown turbo, if you have checked the obvious stuff ie, couplers and vac lines, and still havent found the problem, then i would check out the turbo. switch turbos to see if it is still acting up or not

Yes it does. The leak(s) are causing you to run very rich therefore causing the plugs to be black. Build/buy a boost leak tester, pressurize your system and seal up any air leaks. Check your exhaust gaskets while you are in there as they can cause the same issues as well..
