As the title says I’m stuck on this. Working with this car through its problems has been a very humbling experience, it’s been one problem after another and I’ve been able to overcome them all except this one. Details/things I’ve tried already listed below

•1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
•Battery is good (I also took a battery out of my other car and tried to get it to crank and no dice either)
•New alternator
•Bench tested starter and it’s good too

The last thing I did before I tried to start the car was install an axle seal. I find it kinda funny that all I did was install a seal and now the car won’t start LOL. I don’t think this is a fuse/relay problem because after I lose power, if I disconnect the battery for a bit then reinstall it power comes back. (WHAT THE HECK???) really in need of some advice here.

I looked on the forums to see if this has been talked about before and I couldn’t really find anything.

You'd be surprised how big of a thing that is. I had two new alternators charge at only 11 amps because I had a bad positive terminal/ burnt alternator wires on my battery. It makes a difference for sure.
New terminals and we have lift off!! Such a huge pain so easily fixed. Thank you guys for all the help! My first time interacting with y’all on the forums and I’m so grateful.

re check your battery ground

i had a similar issue where it would just completely cut power once i cranked it, then re hooked the battery back up and had power again. all i had to do with mine was put a washer under the ground and on top under the bolt head and it solved my issue

Ground looks solid. The negative terminal wire looks iffy, but most is still connected. I went ahead and tightened the ground nut. Stand by

Still nothing… Went ahead and sandwiched the cable between some washers. Will keep updating

Nothing with that either… Just taking a real good look at the pos terminal connector and it’s pretty beat up. I don’t think it would cause a malfunction like this but I’m gonna replace both connectors anyways.

There should be a ground from neg battery terminal to the firewall and another from neg terminal to the starter bolt. It looks like you're using the battery tiedown stud in the strut tower as a ground (I have no idea if that's OK, but looks questionable) and I can't tell where the yellow stripe wire goes.
There should also be a smaller ground from the firewall to the intake manifold.

Additionally, those generic battery terminals are known to be less than stellar. You should look at replacing them with something like this: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/.../08504/4742236/1997/mitsubishi/eclipse?pos=41

it's definitely battery connection issue,that sandwiching isn't gonna help,ground needs touching metal and bolting that cable on the strut its only touching paint,so grind some paint and bolt that cable back
