I have the old school JMF manifold and i decided to put it back on today and now the idle is out of control. And for some reason the throttle wont spin I'm gonna work that tomorrow. Now I remember last I had this problem it was a clip that wasn't plugged in. There are four prongs on the back of the manifold I have the boost gauge tapped into one of them and the one big hose that goes on the back of the stock manifold I have a manual boost controller one vacuum from the turbo one to the waste gate. I have a small leak at one of the injector 0-rings I'm wondering if I could of forgot to clip something in? I have the MAS, TPS and CAS and coil plus the one on the bottom of the manifold plugged in now could I be missing something?

Intake gasket leak maybe. Throttle cable binding? What exactly is it doing? Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle body and see if it changes it.

i have the poly somthing 1 and a half inch spacer thats torqued down beond beleif the i fixed the throttle problem i notice i have a decent leak comingout of the valve cover, and this hissing noise is likely from my bad injector o-ring, would that keep the idle surging from 1500- 1750?

Leaking injector o-rings will cause so many problems. That being one of them.

yea i made a crappy make shif o-ring from a hoduh injector while im waiting for my slow boy 0-rings to come inthe would explain when the car goes lean when the idle drops

The hissing sound you are describing could be caused by a disconnected or leaking vacuum line. This will cause inconsistent idle. If you have an aftermarket boost guage check your vacuum.

Check for vaccum leaks. One of your hoses might have a small slice in it causing it to leak.

Hi,

Do a boost leak test to find leaks in gaskets and o-rings and stuff like that, and then listen and look at vacuum hoses best you can for vacuum leaks. This should help you find your idle problem.

when installing this manifold you NEED to cut the tab off the thottle pulley thing so it wont hit the manifold (if you didnt do this already) As far as the idle goes, check the nipples behind the manifold and make sure they are all sealed, throttle body gaskets (hope there new) Intake mani gasket, and/or injector O-rings and insulators....This can be found very easily by doing a boost leak test. ....No results...check and make sure everything is plugged back in

The "tab" on the throttle body..... Its hits the manifold when you open the throttle. I dont know what else to call it but its on the piece that the throttle cable connects to.

....Well, I sure as hell had to when I threw mine on with the 1G TB

the idle is pretty steady now, i adjustest the cas down a bit and uped the idle i have all but on of the nipples on the back of the manifold, except fpr one, wich i asume is the slight boumce i the idle and when it drops it goes lean so that is the bad injector ring doing that i just got the new fuel injector clinic 0-tings today so im gonna put them in tomorrow wish me luck gus

Unless I missed it,I didnt see that you have the bov line connected.I'm sure you have it connected though.

i have the bov line connected to the p port on the throttle body wich im not sure is correct, i have the line from the turbo goin to the mc the from the mbc to waste gate, no is somthing incorrect ?>
