Resolved 2G Injector Resistor Pack

Installed after work. Testing today. Install was very easy. i just left the old one on the firewall, unplugged it and mounted the new one next to the brake fluid reservoir with an existing 10mm bolt. Plugged it in and go.

Will report back if this fixes my 3 cylinder issue. FYI, the symptoms seem to only occur after car is warm and you shut down and restart.

Nope, brand new pack gave same results. It ended up being a bad injector. Even the Injector Rebuilder didn't see the problem. It ended up only happening when engine was warm. I bought a used injector on eBay and all has been great so far for about 4 months.

Ahh that's good to know then,I've already got another set of injectors coming this week. I was hoping to cover a few bases before I went the injector pack route,thanks for the reply. Maybe my car wasn't warmed up enough when I checked the pins.

Yeah, just put those new injectors in first, then run it to normal temps and see how it runs. Maybe shut it down, then start it back up. Then report back with your findings.

Well I changed out the injectors and seals,and drove it around town for about an hour. Shut it off and on a few times. No cel so far,looks like it was an injector I've had this cel before but that was an injector seal leak,it was blowing gas over the intake . If anything changes I'll post it,tomorrow I'm going to drive it to work so that will be the next test.

7 months later and still good to go. Just as a follow up, the pack wasn't my problem, it was a single bad injector.

My resistor pack reads the same 6.9-7.1 but you say your resistor pack wasn't bad? I am installing an easy tune box and wondering if I should get a new resistor pack before I solder the box to this one?

Just a FYI for future reference of this post. 5.5-6.5 ohms of resistance is at 68°f. This number will increase as the test temp gose up. Basically mitsubishi is trying to give u a est. Of resistance. Do not replace a pack that has a extra ohm or 2 only if the number are extremely off
