My OEM Infinity Stereo (pictured) sounds worse as it gets louder. If the volume knob was 0-10, then volumes 0-6 progress normally, getting louder and sounding better. But volumes 7-10 barely get louder and sound quality goes way down.

Has anyone else ever noticed this with their factory stereo? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth trying to find a different OEM Infinity Sterero in the off chance mine is defective, or if they're all this way. I'm guessing it's the latter.

To add context, I am not looking for troubleshooting help. Just as an FYI, I have:
- tried 2 different oem infinity amps and even added an aftermarket 4 channel amp - no change
- the problem existed with the original oem infinity speakers and with new replacement speakers
- the problem is with all channels, CD, Tape, Radio, etc
- i have had multiple people listen and all agree with my assessment, so it's not just me
