2g head removal

so i went to take off my 2g head today and found that the head bolt are some weird socket to take them off

so what kind of socket do i need

is there something else that i can use to take it off

please help

10mm Hex-Drive socket. Can be found at any auto parts store for about $8.00 No, don't try to use something other than the specified tool, you'll just end up having to replace your headbolts.

Its either a 12mm or 13mm socket. Can't remember. I think its 12mm. Use the 12 point socket and it will come off jut fine. I would recommend a breaker bar or something stout. As getting them loose will be fun otherwise.

hey, 5150DSM, is the 10mm for removing the head of a 1g? Because I bought a maintenance book for my '90 Eclipse GS and it specified a 13mm. I haven't been able to find the right part to remove the head, so I haven't driven that car for over a year, and it makes me sad. Any ideas? Thanks!

12mm 12 point socket will take the head bolts off. Be sure to use a ratched that is slightly longer to give you some more mechanical advantage. Good luck!
