2g guys running evo maf ?

with the evo mas you'll have alot more timing and run way to lean with the stock injectors. But with some evo injectors it would even itself out and you wouldn't really need a forum of fuel control. It would run pretty good aside from the high timing. The high timing would be fine though if you had 1g compression (7.8.1) but with 2g (8.5.1) you'd most likely run into some knock issues once you turn the boost up. You car would also spool up a little bit faster. I had a pretty big post about the evo mas just search you'll find all the info.

evo 8 maf i have v3 link and 1050s
If you have ECMLink, you just select "EVO8 MAF" from the base MAF drop down and you're set. There will be no idle issues caused by the MAF sensor at all. We use the factory MAF tables from the EVO8 ECU in our base MAF implementation. So it's as accurate as an EVO8 ECU would be. I run the 2G ECU in my EVO8 with the EVO8 MAF on a daily basis.

I'll let you guys know tomorrow. Will be installing the Evo 8 injectors and MAS. :) No other tuning devices will be used. Only a Digital Tuning pocketLOGGER will be used to check things out and keep and eye on that stuff under the hood.

I'm planning on running the Evo VIII MAS when I finally get my butt in gear and swap in the Evo VIII ECU into my Talon. I've heard rumor of the existence of a wiring adapter that allows the Evo MAS to plug into the DSM harness, does anyone know where I can find one of these?

Supposedly, the pinouts are the same, but an adapter is needed to get the plastic plug to mate to the Evo MAS's receptacle. I guess I could always hack off the old connector and splice on an Evo/3G MAS plug, but I'd rather not take away the ability to switch back easily.

Zack, I know what you're saying, but I picked up my harness plug for $15. Don't see an immediate reason as to why you would need to switch out MASs frequently.

As far as the rumor is concerned, this is the first I'm hearing of it. Of course, I'm the last to hear about anything, it seems. :idontknow:

Here are a few photos of my Evo 8 MAS installed on my Extreme PSI intake pipe. As I said in another post, you will need a 3-to-4 inch coupler adapter to make this work. The one I got from Extreme PSI (part number 21327) was actually a bit too big for the intake pipe. Perhaps something like a 3-to-3.75 inch coupler reducer (siliconeintakes.com part number SIL000529) would be best.

And for something to even fool DSM enthusiasts, you may want to look into getting an aftermarket (or OEM?) Evo intake pipe.

This is what I want to do. How did it work? Did the reducer affect the evo mas? Thanks
