Here are some pics of my most recent project while refreshing the engine this winter, tell me what you think. Though I feel this to be a bit of an extreme modification, this forum in my mind was best pick for this post.

Missing fuse/relay box.

Where it ended up. This was a little more than a "cut and paste" job, it involved rewiring most of the front of the car.

Gotta love the blue zip ties.

The main battery junctions, MAFT, 2 step control relays, and N2O relays were moved and hidden here.

Here is the left over wireing after the completed project.

Not only did I remove a bit of weight, but uncluttered the engine compartment. All systems that remain in the car work flawlessly.

Just wanted to see others thoughts and comments.

wow, im sure that was a TON of work! I just hope that you soldered all your connections... I'd hate to have to trace down a loose crimp connection.

Deffinately took some time, about a month working on it in my free time. Trust me, all connections are good, all soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing, then taped, I work with 460V AC most days and I know the importance of a good connection. I also suggest having another fuse box with the attached wireing harness, you'll need the wire length from both ends. This isn't something to try to do if you are afraid of electrical work. It is very time consuming and you have to pay attention to what you are doing. I also incorporated my factory cruise control switch as my N2O system arm switch, my cruise control cancel stick as the purge trigger, and the fog light switch controls the bottle heater.

I would LOVE to know how to do that, specifically for the 1G, but NO WAY would I attempt something like that w/o a write-up. HAHA, definately not a project for me, not a big fan of working on wires w/o knowing my direction.

Finished product. The engine compartment is painted black with a silver flake, engine installed, and a new turbo intake, car runs great.

A engine overlook, nice and uncrowded for a DSM huh?

Good. Now you can get down to re-hab and kick that speed habit.

Oh, put a cover on your belts.

And I'm too kind to speak of that valve cover color.

I gotta kick some habit, thats for sure. Upper belt cover is on, I've seen too many people lose sparkplug wires to a missing upper timing cover. Man, bustin' my stones about my one piece of bling just breaks my heart. ;)

Thanks for the comments.

Perfect.

Can't wait to see mine when it's done. I am attempting this now and believe me my friends this is no easy task...
