I had mine in the car under the dashboard it worked ok there.

mine is just under my Catch Can, best part is i didnt even have to cut or modify the harness, just had to extend my reverse light connector and my Rad fan connector

I am not 100% sure if it will work on 97-99. Mine is a 95 and i was able to run the whole harness around the front and under the driver side frame rail. My buddy has a 97 GSX and he had a few wires that connected from the fusebox to the factory harness on the pass side fender... so i can't guarantee this will work on a 97+

Being a auto i have some extra wires which kinda sucks for doing something like this.

I have a large chunk of wire loom that just wont stretch/read far enough for me to put it where you guy did.
