2g GSX Evo 8 brake upgrade, wondering about my e-brake?

I am starting to gather the parts needed for a evo 8 brake upgrade on my 97 gsx, I'm wondering if the stock parking brake shoes and hardware will work with the evo rear brakes? The rear caliper and rotor are bolt-on (except for the dust shield that needs to be removed/replaced, but I can't find any info on whether the parking brake can be retained.

The rear Evo VIII/IX rotors work with the stock e-brake drums just fine.

I can't wait to get the bigger brakes on the car, then on to the power-adder's I've got stockpiled.
