I got this 2G GST that is very lightly modded (intake, megan-racing downpipe, cat delete, ECMLink)

it starts then dies unless given some throttle

It didn't use to do this but a lot of people have worked on this car and I think someone might have lost one of the screws that goes here (in the throttle body)

I uploaded a short clip on YouTube here in case that isn't helpful:

Any idea where I can get a new one of these?

Car drives ok if you give it gas.

Solution
Your Base Idle Set Screw (BISS) is missing. It is a huge vacuum leak now. It uses an oring on it which seals and helps hold it in. They get old and your issue happens. You can get replacements like this from one of our vendors HERE.
I am sure if you plug that hole temporarily (finger, tape, etc), your car will act differently.

Thank you for confirming! I just ordered a new BISS from https://stmtuned.com/products/mitsubishi-oem-biss-screw-set-dsm-3s?_pos=1&_sid=57cce1eb6&_ss=r hoping it arrives soon and then the car acts differently.

Will try using my finger/tape for the moment to see also

As a follow up, make sure to put an oring on the BISS screw if it doesn't come with one. :thumb:

Thanks for following up. Everything came in today, so I put the oring on the BISS screw and then I just drop it in there right?
Yes sir, it should screw in and hold a seal. Don't ruin it by going to far in. I run mine in until it just stops then back it out 2 turns as a starting place.
