Ok guys I gotta stock 2g gst and I have a hallman mbc and was looking fir information on installation. The bit of info that I know is the mbc has an in an out. The out runs to the actuator and the in runs to the compressor housing
I looked at the turbo and a hose runs from the actuator then t's off an a hose runs into the compressor housing.....do I basically just run the hose off the compressor to the IN port. And the OUT port to the actuator?? If that's the case what would be the best thing to do with the other hose that runs off the t? I didn't follow to see where it goes yet figured someone would know what I'm talking about.

Any info will be appreciated I will continue to search as well to be sure I'm following the right step

Well ya I got it all hooked up right. I do believe so. But u just can't believe that the bov would leak so much that I can't even pull an extra 2-3psi. Or a boost leak at all would prevent showing an increase in boost with the controller turned all the way positive...I think in the morning I'm goin to swap around the hoses to see if it does anything...just not sure where to go except a blt

okay got home and rechecked everything and all is ran correctly and in working order. i managed to get it to pull up to 12psi from 10 psi....but me and some local friends have came to the conclusion that the stock 2g bov isn't holding boost farther then 12psi. so later this evening we are going to run a BLT(boost leak test) and see if we can varify this infomation. thanks for all the help and ideas and such fellow dsmers

i ran a BLT before installing my Hallman Pro RX. Previous owner definitely hit something or bottomed out like fricken crazy because he bent the SMIC. Put rivets in the two holes that leaked out 10 lbs of pressure in about 1.5 seconds (even though i was still able to pull at 11lbs). After that I could get right around 12-13 lbs with just the solenoid rubber piece removed. I installed my MBC gave it a 1/2 turn and drove. Did this for about an hour until I was at like 7-8 turns and still couldn't notice anything. Threw on the BLT again and noticed that when I tried testing to 15 lbs air was pushing through the black rubber hose going back into the air intake from the bov. If this is your result I think you have your answer... Let us know!

Don't just swap around the hoses!!! If you have them the wrong way I'm pretty sure you get a crazy amount of boost. ---+ If that's your MBC the hose coming off the right side of the plus sign goes to the turbo compressor. The hose off the bottom of the plus sign to the wastegate actuator. Remove both lines from the wastegate to the boost control solenoid (get rid of that T), but leave the actual wiring to the solenoid connected.

Update::::::::
I recently bought a greddy fmic w/ full hard piping w/ a hks ssqv v1 bov. I have installed the uip w/ bov and have raised boost to 15 psi. So I assume my issue was the stock 2g bov. :)
