Can you guys please confirm the torque specs for the front cross member that goes from the subframe to the chasis under the transmission and the subframe stay plates (see pictures below)?
I found the specs below within the Torque Specifications for 1995-1999 DSMs document but the values seem/feel too high. I’ve torqued all bolts down to 35 ft.lbs so far and they already feel too tight. I’m afraid I will end up with yet another broken bolt if I add 20+ ft.lbs! I’m starting to see the frame bow in as I torque down the front bolts with the large washers of the cross member. I’d appreciate your help with this!
