Hi,

Searched around the forum for a while, but wasn't able to find anything to address my question. I recently purchased a MHI E316G with install kit from Xtrmpsi. The 2g install kit came with the powdercoated "j-pipe" and associated gaskets & SS oil feed line. My question is whether or not I will be able to hook up my stock licp to the E316G "j-pipe"?

I'm assuming that trying to connect the stock licp to the "j-pipe" will be a stretch, but I have yet to confirm this. RRE's web-site has an "L-pipe" that is supposed to be used with multiple rubber hose sections, it's called the "The 90° elbow to I/C".

"L-Pipe":
Road Race Engineering's 2G 16-G Turbo Install Kits and Parts

Can anyone confirm whether or not the stock licp will work, or if I'll need the "L-pipe"?

And yes, this will be used with the stock side mount.

Thanks in advance. :thumb:

the kit should have came with an L shaped silicone pipeing which will reach to the sidemount so u shouldnt need the licp

If (for whatever reason) you need to utilize the OEM LICP, you can always soak it in boiling water for a little while. This will allow you to twist and turn the rubber piping whichever way you like it. Use the key words "LICP" and "water" or "boiling" in your next search. You should hbe able to come up with something.

I'll try soaking/forming the stock LICP, as I only need it to last until I get the fmic.

Thanks again. :thumb:

Correct me if i'm wrong people. But depending on the way the piping is routed, he'll have to get a new j-pipe when he does a fmic anyway? I know I did when I did mine.

I guess it does depend on how the piping is going to be routed... I'm mainly interested in a fmic that will use the short route piping with side-to-side end tanks. Does anyone know if this will hook right up to the E316G "J-pipe" with no other issues? :confused:

Found a solution. I was able to cut the 90 degree bend off of the longest leg of my OEM licp hose. With the 90 degree portion gone, and a little persuation the hose will be able to slip onto the j-pipe. ;)

I recommend this to anyone with a 2G upgrading to a 14B or 16G that's wanting to utilize the stock sidemount.

No need to spend money on an "L-pipe".

Hope this helps.
