Anybody know how to fix the rear driver side window on the 2g eclipse spyder? I check the wire is connected and fuse are good, all other windows are working except the driver rear window is not working. Any ideas or what cause it to not work, no noise and silent when press the rear window button but all other 3 windows are working. Any lead or ideas as to what cause not to work will be great, thanks in advance.

Check continuity in the window switch for that window, and in the window motor. If you have a spare switch, plug it in to see if it'll work that way. If it works, you'll have a switch problem. No change, the problem resides elsewhere, but it eliminates the switch causing the issue.

As a two-time 2nd Gen Spyder owner, I've seen the issues with the rear windows on the cars. Most common is failure of the rollers that track the window movement. I had several rollers fail on my '97. Failure requires pulling the window assembly out and replacing the glass with its post-mounted rollers. At the time, I found replacement assemblies (including the guide tracks) on ebay.

Search on this site (and the other DSM forum) to find guides on how to disassemble the trim, rear seat, and interior panels to expose the window mechanism for servicing.

Here's some links:

thank you everyone for your responses. It would be nice if someone live in Minnesota can help me out, but ill try it myself and see how it goes

what does the spare switch looks like? I don't have a spare. Most likely I will have to pull the panel and see if any rollers or anything is broken causing it to not work, in this case I'm thinking might be window roller or window motor, but will have to see.

He’s saying a “spare” switch as in an extra, one that is not currently installed in the car and is in known working condition. That would help to rule out one potential cause of your issue.

Easiest things to check are the switch itself and the motor. If you do not have a known good working spare, you can test the switch you have using a multimeter. It is probably easier to test with the switch removed from the door.

The motor can be tested easily as well:

Run those tests and give us the results. We can go from there, if needed.
