2G 2g DIY clear tail lights?

Hello, as most of you may know the highly sought after and very pricey clear tail lights. I have seen multiple online threads and videos on DIY clear tails for other cars, but none for the Eclipse. I was wondering if anyone has ever taken apart a tail light before I destroy my only pair of taillights.

I have a set of the clear Altezza style tail lights, but the cloudy ones with the texture to them like in your picture, I have not seen in person for a long time if at all, I'm not sure how you would go about making something like that.

May be a dead thread but if not, I'm currently making a set, got the OEM set apart and an aftermarket set with a clear lens apart

you can do it, take a set of altezzas with xlear covers and a set of stockers and seperate them with a heat gun and swap the lenses

I did do it but honestly i dont like the look gonna wait for an oem set to pop up

did you try spraying the inside of the clear portion with a matte clear spray paint?

some weird pod ones , separated the lenses and attached them to the oem housings after chrome paint , honestly ddidnt like the look with out the diffuser or frosting of the inside of the lenses , took them off till i redo them or find oem ones

those will work , it’s any clear lenses , just a lot of patience and heat! did i mention patience?

look great to me. you could just try satin clear coat on the outside to see if its a better look to you

Where did you get the clear lens I can’t find anything about it?

I have a secondary question I already bought the altezzas and does any heat gun work can I just buy a cheap one off of Amazon? And other questions I was going to ask for somebody who already did this how much they would charge if I ship them to them if they’re willing to take on this project, I just haven’t done nothing like this and I don’t want to break anything, but I’ve been trying to find YouTube videos and nobody seems to have them.
