2g CAS, Is it 180* out of timing???

Well my car still wont start, me and my dad have tried atleast 15 times adjusting the belt and nothing, tho it has started but after shutting car off then trying to start it wont start, i am getting fuel and spark, so the only thing i can think of is that the CAS is 180 degrees off timeing. so how you would check to see if it is 180 degrees out of timing

If I remember right you can open up the sensor and unbolt it and spin the sensor around. Its been two years since I've looked at mine and my memory is kind of foggy on the matter. The sensor is a magnetic sensor and the rotating part screws into the end of the intake cam. You'll see what I'm talking about if you open it up. I know that you should be able to spin it with the ignition on and the fuel pump will turn on for a few seconds. That'd be a good way to check if it is getting fuel too. Dont worry about screwing something up, you can always put it back just like you took it off. Worth a shot atleast to eliminate it as a problem.

Not sure if this applies to 2g's but I assume it does. With your motor at TDC, if you take off the cam sensor there will be a mark on one of the sides of the rotating part, and a mark on the body of the sensor as well. These should line up at TDC.
