Well Ive looked through a couple of threads and checked out CAPS, but I must be missing something.
Background - I swapped automatic to 5 speed along with the 6 bolt swap. The front axle/carrier axle combo Im trying to use is supposedly out of a 5 speed 95 GSX with ABS (because I was aware that the automatic and 5 speed carrier axles were different length).
Problem - It is about 2 inches too long. The hub/spindle is visibly being pushed out. The carrier axle is not too long (I dont think, it will bolt up) but from the CV joint (bolted to the block) to the hub, it seems too long.
Ive looked into CAPS and found 2 part numbers for the axle Im tryin to figure out:
MR145595 seems to be the one without ABS, and
MR145597 seems to be the one with ABS.
Question - Im wondering, is there really 2 different length drivers axles, or am I missing something very simple?
