I went on ebay last week to buy it now on a like new greddy type S and it had already sold, so I started checking for edm jdm or all clear tails. Well I found a set of all clear and gobbled them up because they are very rare.

The lights are basically in brand new condition but they kind of look white washed on the car.

Sooo what do you guys think?

I picked up an almost complete set once but I just didn't like them on my car. I feel like it's hit or miss and very car color dependent. I liked them because they are a very very rare item for our cars... But my car is semi blacked out...

Way back in 1999 my old roommate got some clear rears on his eclipse. He would get pulled over by the 5-0 all the time. Cops said the lights were illegal because they didnt have red lenses.

Personally, not a fan of the rear clears on white, nor clear rears on a 2g period. I do like the all red tails on black paint tho.

Haha, AFAIK (especially in my area and surrounding NW) there is no law dictating lense color, only the actual light color itself. Hence why amber (A) bulbs are sold for corner and turn signals.

That's because you don't run them with just regular bulbs they need to be red.

I've seen them on a red 2ga but they also looked just "meh". Now that I look around I think they look much better on the 2gb body. If I recall some one who collected the all clear tail lights on Honda-tech, only around 300 sets were made for each vehicle model (though most of them were Honda civics accord and prelude). New in box these were selling for $399.99 in 2001 for the eclipse so they did not sell well and did suffer from the same problem of being singled out for being a modified car. ( yes despite my name I am that Og). I should dig out some of my old super streets and sports import car LOL

For example of red bulbs

And this is how they look at night. BTW the end bulbs that are not connected to the tail light plug are just running lights and you can use a red led in them

I think the 2g's that pull off the clear tails best have a painted center piece, doing all clears is too much and doesn't break it up. You could also pull your reverse lenses and try to fix the yellowish color they've turned over the last 20yrs.

Still, tough to pull off that look when everything else about the appearance of the car is OE. Something else you could do is smoke them with tail light film, it isn't permanent and I could quickly PS it if it's something you'd like to see?

Nice thanks for the shop, I have a spare center from a set of altezzas that came with one of my other dsm's but I'm just going to keep them as is.

I looked online and the brand new reverse lights come new in box with the yellow haze, it's from the factory

I'm looking to keep the factory 16 inch tires, but eventually get a set of rfp1 or slip stream or something. I prefer a mostly stock look, and with zero on the roads here locally it doesn't bother me to be stock. In fact it seems to make me more approachable. Every time I fill up at the pump I get compliments

Everyone's got their own look, that's the fun of it. If you decide you want to see how it would look with a painted center piece and you don't want to split up your sets of tail lights you can pick one up from MIP for $30. MIP : 2g Eclipse Center Tail Light Section

The PS is no problem, if you want something else done or moved around let me know.

I think it all depends on the color of your car..I have a black gst spyder with all clear with chrome backing and it looks awesome and have gotten lots of compliments...works for me:beatentodeath::idontknow::nono::f-u::tease:
