Resolved 2G 99 gsx chassis harness mystery connector

Anyone know what this connector and resistor thing are? It's right by the fusebox. The harness is from a 99 gsx.

Nevermind, its not on there BUT I believe its for the alternator charging system.

Odd, my '99 and several others I know of don't have the generator relay. I thought it stopped in '98. That's why it's not in the electrical connections article by the way since that is from my car.

Hmm I got it second hand and was told it was a 99!

Depending on how much of the harness you got, the ABS brake unit connector would be the best indicator since it's also unique to '99's. All '99 GSX's would have had ABS and the ABS ECU was located near the driver headlight rather than inside the car in the passenger footwell.

The 95' abs ecu is also out under the drivers fender if I'm not mistaken? I think its integral with the pump.

Can’t speak for ‘95 AWD.

But for ‘95 FWD it’s in passenger footwell area.

Thanks for the info! One more question what is this wire for it’s the yellow with red stripe. It’s on the chassis harness connector that goes behind the fuse box and plugs in by the hood pop.

That should lead to the high beam fuse.

Thanks got another this is on the engine harness on the rear o2 sensor pigtail under the seat

That yellow-black is the rear O2 heater minus wire that goes to ECU pin 54.
