Okay so i purchased a 7 bolt 4g63 motor that i plan on rebuilding, and i've been searching around for a shell to drop this motor into (preferably a 1g) and i came across a 92 talon rolling shell with everything still in it except the motor. Now my question is can i put my 7 bolt in this talon and be able to use the transmission or will i need to get a 2g transmission, and if i can use the 1g transmission what will need to be done in order to make it all work if anything at all?

The 2g block doents have the motor mounts on the front/rear to bolt into a 1g. You would have to fabricate mounts some how but would probably better off finding a 1g block.

Yup, three of the "motor" mounts for the 2G's are on the transmission (front, rear, passenger side). On 1G's I don't believe any of the mounts are on the transmission.

yeah thats what ive been finding out that the 2g had three on the trans and one on the motor, and the 1g had one on the trans and three on the motor, hmmm idk what to do now because i got the complete 7 bolt for a good price, which is why i bought that rather than a 6 bolt

thanks for all the help guys i think im going to start looking around for a 2g shell it seems like the best route for me to go.
