Ok, I did some research in order to find out what I could find about angle adjustment and timing issues and as the results was very confused, I see here the theory that when there is too much bla bla bla, it is not precise and confuse the mind of any normal human being.

So, I decided to create this newbie thread to help people in this Engine as there is many confused instructions about this engine and finally when you use 10 theory to explain something is because no one for sure can explain it properly.

So, here we go.

I got a 4g63 turbo engine with stock turbo T25 running its default pressure, this engine timing marks is as the picture bellow:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=127497&stc=1&d=1315409915

Now ... the ckp and cas (crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor) are separated from each other and also is is very poor sensor made to brake once the cranskshaft get clearance wasted in its offset position....... the ckp will cut the sensor and the cranckshaft may brake in two peaces as the metal hall effect stuff will lock the crank once it get offset.

The 2G Second generation engine uses this two sensors bellow:

This is the reality that this engine was made to give alot of maintenance, it has 210hp, very strong and you can make up to 300 with simple adjustment, but the fact is that previous engine was better, as this is made to brake and make you spend $$$ but the solution is to add a 1G black top sensor, that is the best you could find around, then lets go to this conversion:

My cranckshaft pulley (harmonic pulley was broken) then I installed an aluminum pulley without timing marks.......

Also, the Braztupid mechanic that ruined my engine, broke in peaces and made disappear the timing belt cover and this is actually without timing belt cover.

This may be the problem of many people around the world, as the mechanics like alot to brake the timing belt cover with timing marks ........

Anyway, the solution for this is to put the engine at 'TDC again it is illustrated down:

Keep in mind that "BTDC" means before top dead center, "TDC" is when the piston is fully at the top and "ATDC" is when the piston passed already the "TDC" and it is going down.

Do not change the timing set for your engine model, as you will f******* your camshaft and valves and cause you a fortune to buy another camshaft head, so keep this at the same:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=127497&stc=1&d=1315395482

Now put the 1G CKP\CAS sensor this is only one sensor that goes on camshaft that generates both signals of cranshaft position and camshaft position, just put it to its marks as in this picture here:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=127500&stc=1&d=1315411018

Now you must make the wire, if you are not a dumb that likes to make things very very very... connected, you can cut the wires and solder it straight to the harness socket that goes attached to it, but also if you find in hellfire the sockets ...... you can make as the illustration (please keep in mind that this can be used to make the this changes...

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=127501&stc=1&d=1315397583

There is one ground from ckp or cmp that is not going to be used, you can cut it out or leave it somewhere the engine compartment.

Now kids, it is done! you will need to use a goshdown timing light that is confused, maybe expensive, but the other way is to ask someone to crank the engine and you move the angle adjustment until the engine start.

The problem is that the engine does not start after all this changes .......

Even inverting the spark cables as it works on wasted spark, it fires two cylinder together at the same time and the fire order is 1-4 fire together and 2-3 fire together in its second fire spark.

Then ... all I should do was to invert the ignition cables is not it?

This timing marks should not be used ........ as the 4g63 until 1993 it has this different timing mark, so I am quite confused now, how it should work with the original timing marks without being changed, BUT USING A CKP\CAS black top that was made to work with this:

It is something do I need to do else? is there some quite expert person that could help me in this conversion? all the line set is properly connected the engine almost start and then it dies!

I was suspecting my ckp\cas was not good as it should, then order from a mexican a new ckp\cas and some other bits that was missing!

The guy just crooked me and asked more money .... more money!!!! e now just disappeared, this is the first time that some one crook me and steal me on United States, as I always saw that USA always got some very strong laws, but the illegal immigration on USA is just killing the Americans reputation, as people without qualification only immigrate to USA to scam people and crook people around!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh world ....
