2G TPS Adjustment with 1G TB

i have my TB off of my car right now, and im trying to adjust the tps. im follownig the TPS Adjustment guide. When i put the clips on pins 1 and 4 i get about 4.75k ohms. When on pins 1 and 3, i can only get 3.0k ohms to about 7.0k ohms. I cant get it to go any lower, because its supposed to be at .9k ohms. Sometimes when on pins 1 and 3 it jumped all the way up to 1500-2500 Ohms. Why is it spiking sometimes, and how come i cant get it to go to .9k ohms?

Just curious why you're going about adjusting the TPS manually when you have link.

1. Turn key to ON but don't start car.
2. Start stream.
3. Watch TPSVolts while adjusting TPS until you get it to .63v.
4. Get in car and slowly press down gas all the way and see if TPSVolts hits 5v.
5. If not, run this adjustment wizard.

Ok, and this is for a 1g? Because i believe i have a 1g tb. The 4 ports on the top point to the tb elbow.

Doesn't matter what throttle body you have. The TPS will function the same.

Ok, thank you for the help. Just replaced the shaft seals in my tb. so hopefully everything runs like new now =D

The guide your using is what I use..I have a handful of TBs and could get them all perfect but one..The spring tension didn't feel right on that one and I switched out the tps and that fixed it...
Its alot easier if its off the car....
