Current mods are in my profile...

I have a Stage 3 chip that compensates for all sensors, injectors, ect...

1. What should my 'base' setting be on my MAF-T?

2. What should my MAF-T be set at once I hook up my AFC? (should be in about 2 weeks)

Dom,

In theory, you should set the MAFT to all "0" because the Stage 3 Eprom is compensating for the injectors and fuel pressure you are running. However, in the real world, you may have to adjust the MAFT settings to dial in the fuel trim better. In my case, when I was running 650cc injectors with the stage 3 Eprom programmed for the 650's I still had to richen mid and WOT setting on the MAFT by 10% yet to get the LOW fuel trim to settle near 100% I had to take out 12% on SAFC from 700rpm to 1800rpm.

I didn't see a logger in your profile but assuming you have one. Set everything to all "0" then log your fuel trims after some "normal" driving. See where you need to adjust the fuel then log again. After you feel comfortable and have stable fuel trims then work on some WOT tuning.

If your chip has injector compensation then set your MAFT to simulate 450 cc or 390(if you have auto).

It should remain the same when you connect your AFC.

One question if you don't mind, how come you didn't just get DSMLINK since you obviously have an eprom ecu? Unless of course you got those item for cheap then I can't see spending that much 2 pigyback systems.

$ 100 - chip
$ 200 - MAFT translator
$ 40 - GM sensor
$ 250 - AFC

$ 590 - total (DSMLINK price).

Anyway, goodluck with your set up. :thumb:

Turf..... currently I have tuned a little with my MAF-T. I think everything is on 0 except my WOT which is at 3 i think.
I was just told that I should have 'base' set to compensate 660's, but I have is compensated with my stage 3 chip so I wasnt sure if I was suppose to have both.

Budget.... I got the GM MAF and MAF-T when my stock MAS took a crap on me. I got eprom chip when i got a new ecu because my ECU crapped out on me also but it wasnt eprom so i figured I mine as well spend a little more to get a good ECU. As for the AFC, I bought it off my friend for $100. So basically what Im saying is that I didnt buy everything at once and I also dont have a laptop so that would have up'd the price.

So all in all, I should set my MAF-T base knob for 450cc injectors even tho I have 660cc injectors and they are already compensated with my chip? :confused:

Spidy3,

Yes, set the MAFT to 450's since your Eprom is doing the compensating for the injectors. You may still have to fine tune with the SAFC but it should be pretty easy from there.
