How hard is it to jack up a talon with normal jacks, disconnect everything from the longblock, drop it down through the bay, and then jack up a new engine in its place??? Anyone ever tried it???

Second -

How much does a FULL rebuild kit usually run for??? Or how much for a topend rebuild kit? If my balance shaft bearings blew then i would need a full rebuild correct??? Does this mean the Block would need to be machined too?

I am about to spend alot of Xmas money on the talon and i want to make sure this goes right because if I dont manage to ressurect the Talon with this last bit of cash I am out of work transportation and out of my last 600 dollars.

PLEASE HELP

Ooo Ooo someone from MI

I live RIGHT by Rochester , do you know any DSM shops around here???

I got a guy who offered to do a rebuild if i had the parts for $200 - but i was thinking about just swapping a engine right out at first but i dont know how hard it is hah.

I think im just gonna get someone else to rebuild it that way if its done wrong I have someone ELSE to blame hahaha....

So a full rebuild kit g oes for 500 - if i get new pistons/rings i need to get the block redone right???

ALso if the problem is only in the topend (im not sure where the knock is coming from.) can you get top-end only rebuild kits???
