Opinons on Engine Rebuild Plz Help!

Ok, so i got an estimate at a local performance auto shop today that it known for its work on the 4g63. I was quoted at $3200 with labor and warranty (im not doing it myself so dont say it haha) but this seems like an awfully lot for the set-up i wanna run. Heres what i was planning..
6 bolt block w/ 2g head
JE pistons (.020) and rods
ARP head studs
ARP main studs
Cometic Head Gasket
HKS Cams 264/272
3g lifters
Bronze Valve Guides
New Engine Gasket/Seals
1mm oversized valves (retainers necessary too? i dont planning on revving higher than 7300)
Balance Shaft Removal
Decked Head

I was gonne be running an evoIII 16g and nothing bigger so is there anything you guys would suggest to help bring the cost down? I know the 4g63 has the capability to deal with a 16g stock so im just wondering. thanks

You can max out an evo III turbo on a stock block.

If I were building a motor for just an evo, I'd do a 1g rod/2g piston combo, skip the cams or go with 1g m/t cams, skip the goodies in the head and just have a standard valve job done.

If your valves are fine in your 2g head, you can get a standard valve job done for around $200 with new seals.

For the 1g rod 2g piston combo, you can use your pistons and get a set of 1g rods for like $50 and the machining done for maybe $20.

I'd keep your ARP head studs, but I think the stock mains are just fine.

for the ammount of stuff you listed.. and the labor involved in doing it.
The price does not sound that bad to me at all.

I agree with the $3200 not being a lot for the stuff i wanted done, its actually reasonable i was just thinking i really dont need all that stuff for a evoIII but thx a lot for the help guys.

Yes, I should have posted earlier and just answered your question...that is a very fair price for everything, but as posted it is not needed for your goals.
